Microsoft's Build 2026 developer conference highlighted significant advancements in AI, Windows, and new hardware. The company unveiled the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a compact PC designed for AI development leveraging the RTX Spark chip, featuring up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and 128GB of unified memory. Also introduced was Project Solara, an initiative aimed at integrating agentic AI into everyday work devices to bridge fragmented ecosystems, demonstrated through prototype devices like a desktop screen and a security badge. Microsoft also emphasized enhanced Windows security for enterprise AI agents, including the Microsoft Execution Container for agent isolation, and announced support for OpenClaw. Other notable announcements included an Intelligent Terminal with an AI assistant for debugging and a streamlined Windows Developer Configuration.
