Following the Cabinet's approval of the 'Procedure for Management of Ministers' Advisors and Secretariat, 2083', ministers have begun rapidly appointing secretary-level advisors to their secretariats. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has appointed Santosh Pandey, and Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel has appointed Shailendra Jha as secretary-level advisors. According to the procedure, the ministries of Energy, Infrastructure Development, and Agriculture can have five advisors (including one salaried), while other ministries can have three advisors (including one salaried).
