Ministry of Communication: Death toll from earthquakes in Venezuela rises to 2,645 #3Jul 03.07.2026

Nine days after a devastating double earthquake in Venezuela, the death toll has risen to 2,645 people, with 12,666 injured and 6,462 rescued alive. The Ministry of Communication reports that 15,050 people are homeless due to the collapse of 885 buildings, 189 of which were totally destroyed. The earthquake has generated 890 aftershocks and has required a massive mobilization of resources, including humanitarian assistance to 86,117 families. Tons of food and liters of water have been distributed, and medical personnel have treated 20,909 patients. Rescue efforts involve 29,567 national personnel and 3,305 international rescuers, supported by 25,846 civilian volunteers across 59 temporary camps.
