This marks the second consecutive day of such an absence, which has stalled Senate proceedings, including the anticipated passage of citizenship bills. Senate Secretary Jose Luis Montales informed the minority bloc of the majority's non-attendance without providing a reason, a situation confirmed by Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri and Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan. Senator Erwin Tulfo expressed frustration over the wasted taxpayer money and the delay caused by these absences, stating the minority would pray for the majority's attendance.
