Mitrovica Municipality has officially denied claims regarding the existence of a €600,000 contract for the maintenance of the Accumulation Lake. The Director of Public Services and Infrastructure, Naser Muja, clarified that the current summer maintenance contract, which includes roads and the lake, has a total value of €900,000. Within this contract, a separate amount of €45,000 is specifically dedicated to the maintenance of the lake. Muja emphasized that the inherited state of this space presents continuous challenges for municipal management, but the institution is closely monitoring the works and planning new investments, such as the installation of an irrigation system. The Municipality is making continuous efforts to maintain the greenery and infrastructure in this area, which is considered one of the city's main attractions.
