Molotov cocktails, fireworks, and damage: National Institute files complaint following violent riots 07.07.2026

The National Institute has filed a complaint against those responsible for the violent riots that occurred last Monday, during which Molotov cocktails and fireworks were used. The school's principal, Sandra Aravena, reported that the incidents caused serious damage to the infrastructure, including the breach of classrooms, fires in the women's locker rooms, and damage to the central courtyard. These events add to an ongoing investigation into death threats directed at the school's general inspector during June, which included the sending of videos featuring firearms. Although the Local Public Education Service is considering the possibility that individuals linked to the school may be involved, authorities are still awaiting the results of investigations to determine whether those responsible are students, adults, or outsiders.
