Morbihan : dans son atelier, Fanny fait perdurer une culture vouée à disparaître 18.02.2026

Fanny Girard, a multidisciplinary artisan, has established her workshop in Josselin, Morbihan, under the brand Lhenni Fanny, to preserve and promote endangered cultural traditions through her artistic creations. Inspired by a documentary on Berber tattooing, Girard researched Amazigh culture, focusing on traditional female-made henna tattoos that are at risk of disappearing. She also incorporates Jagua, a method from Native American culture, and imbues her work with a sense of well-being, explaining that each symbol carries a unique meaning and can be combined to address personal needs or life transitions. Her artistic journey led her to Morocco in October 2024, where she trained in artisanal jewelry making with Imazighen artisans, integrating ancestral techniques like engraving and hammering to create brass jewelry featuring symbols reminiscent of henna. Her work, including jewelry and custom henna and Jagua tattoos, is available online and at the Cré’Acteurs boutique in Josselin.
