More people have been arrested over the Reflecting Pool than the Epstein files 25.06.2026

In recent days, six people have been detained for allegedly vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool after its multimillion-dollar renovation turned the water green and caused paint to peel. President Donald Trump denounced the alleged perpetrators as “sick and deranged,” claiming they could face “years in jail.” Among those arrested was Olympian David Hearn, who said he was handcuffed after leaning over to touch a loose flap of coating. By contrast, months after the Justice Department released millions of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein—naming prominent figures including Trump, Bill Clinton, and Bill Gates—no new arrests have been made in the U.S. Trump has repeatedly dismissed the Epstein scandal as a hoax, telling reporters on February 3 that “it’s really time for the country to get on to something else.”
