Mort de Quentin Deranque : La traque numérique menée par l’extrême droite contre les antifas sur les réseaux sociaux 19.02.2026

Following the death of far-right activist Quentin Deranque in Lyon, a significant surge in online doxing has been observed, primarily driven by the far-right against antifascist individuals. This practice, historically more associated with the far-left, involves revealing personal information of targets, often leading to threats and harassment. While doxing is illegal and punishable by law, numerous accounts have specialized in this activity since Deranque's death, exposing individuals' names, photos, workplaces, and even home addresses. Experts suggest this digital counter-attack signifies a shift in the far-right's online strategy, moving from skepticism to active engagement with doxing as a tool to intimidate perceived opponents and impose their narrative, a tactic amplified by the perceived leniency of the justice system and the radicalizing nature of social media algorithms.
