A new poll from the University of Texas and the Texas Politics Project shows that 56% of Texas voters oppose building data centers in their communities, with 42% strongly opposed. Age influences views: support is highest among 18-29 year olds at 39% and lowest among those 65+ at 20%. Additionally, 49% of voters expect AI to negatively impact the economy, with Democrats more pessimistic than Republicans.
