Motorola partners with GrapheneOS for future phones 02.03.2026

Motorola has announced a partnership with GrapheneOS, a privacy and security-focused Android fork, with the goal of bringing enhanced security to everyday users. This collaboration, unveiled at Mobile World Congress on March 2, is slated to see GrapheneOS compatibility on Motorola smartphones beginning in 2027, contingent on Lenovo-owned Motorola producing hardware that meets GrapheneOS's stringent requirements, including memory tagging and update support. Initially, flagship devices like the Motorola Signature, razr fold, and razr ultra are expected to be compatible, with potential expansion over time. Beyond full OS integration, Motorola also plans to incorporate some GrapheneOS features and concepts into its standard Android operating system.
