The former president of Omonia, Doros Serafeim, passed away today, Sunday, July 5, after a difficult battle against serious health problems. Serafeim had been transferred the previous day to the First Aid unit of the Nicosia General Hospital for necessary hospitalization, but unfortunately, his condition was irreversible. During his tenure as club president from 2000 to 2008, he achieved significant sporting successes, including two championships and one Cyprus Cup. His years of service to the team made him one of the most important administrative figures in the history of Omonia. His death has caused deep sorrow and intense emotion among both the team's fans and the entire Cypriot sporting community, honoring his legacy.
