Mère et fille livrées aux punaises, à l’eau froide et au moisi : "C'est du cache-misère" 20.02.2026

Four years after urban renovation efforts in the Argentine district of Beauvais, mother and daughter Joëlle and Laura Feramus report worsened living conditions. Joëlle Feramus, who had to move to a second-floor apartment without an elevator due to renovations, has been battling a persistent bedbug infestation since August, despite multiple treatments. Her daughter, Laura Feramus, residing in the same building, has been without hot water since December 31st, with repeated maintenance interventions failing to resolve the issue with her supposedly new boiler. Both women are experiencing significant distress, with Joëlle seeking priority rehousing and Laura requesting financial compensation and a freeze on water charges. Opposition municipal councilor Thierry Aury is supporting their claims, criticizing the social housing provider Clésence for inadequate responses and highlighting that the urban renewal project has exacerbated housing shortages.
