The Msida Ġostra, one of Malta’s oldest and most anticipated summer traditions, will make its return on Sunday, July 12, at the Msida Waterfront. This year’s edition kicks off with a special fundraising event in aid of Puttinu Cares, a local NGO that supports families undergoing medical treatment. The opening event blends the iconic ġostra competition—where participants sprint across a greased wooden pole suspended over the sea to capture a flag—with a charitable cause, aiming to raise both funds and awareness for the organization.
