Officials have launched an environmental investigation at Uxbridge High School in Massachusetts after multiple female teachers were diagnosed with breast cancer or precancerous conditions over recent years. While it is unknown if the cases are connected, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in collaboration with the Uxbridge Board of Health, is conducting air quality testing on June 4 to assess potential environmental factors, including carbon monoxide, humidity, temperature, airflow, and other organic compounds. Investigations are also examining the school's infrastructure, such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, though water testing has already ruled out the water supply. School administrators have assured the community that there is currently no evidence of immediate danger, and counselors are available to provide support.
