Naadiya Mohamed, the mayor of St. Louis Park in Minnesota, was given a high-level welcome in Mogadishu today upon her arrival in Somalia. The reception was attended by senior government officials, including members of parliament, members of the Council of Ministers, and other dignitaries, as well as the Deputy Speaker of the Federal Parliament, Mrs. Sacdiyo Yaasiin Xaaji Samatar. Hundreds of civilians, including intellectuals, elders, youth, and women, also welcomed Naadiya Mohamed, demonstrating the widespread joy over her visit.
