The second note, disclosed this week, claimed Guthrie had died inadvertently after her abduction and was “buried with nature,” using what Kelly calls an “emotional” word like “intentional.” This shift in language leads Kelly to suspect the notes were written by two different people, possibly to mislead investigators.
