The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) and national men’s singles shuttler Ng Tze Yong have mutually agreed to part ways, effective June 30. In a statement, BAM said the decision followed discussions and was deemed in the player’s best interests as he navigates the next phase of his professional career. BAM president Tengku Zafrul Aziz thanked Ng for his contributions, highlighting his resilience during a rehabilitation process disrupted by a back injury in 2024 and an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury in 2025, both requiring surgery.
