Minister of Environment Tomáš Taraba (SNS nominee) emphatically denied claims on social media that forest management in national parks remains under the state enterprise Lesy SR. He stated that ownership and management of the forests are fully transferring to the national parks. According to him, the government committed the ministers of environment and agriculture to primarily seek professional cooperation with Lesy SR in cases of active forest management—which is decided exclusively by the national parks—rather than automatically utilizing private companies.
