Nearly 20 flights delayed at Moscow airports 05.07.2026

On the morning of July 5, large-scale flight delays occurred at Moscow airports, affecting approximately twenty flights. According to the Telegram channel "Ostrozhno, Moskva" (Beware, Moscow), due to the declaration of drone danger in the Moscow region, delays are expected for 18 flights: five each from Vnukovo and Domodedovo, and eight from Sheremetyevo. The regional EMERCOM (RSChS) recommended that residents stay indoors, stay away from windows, and seek shelter in buildings or underpasses if necessary. There was also a warning regarding potential disruptions to mobile internet services. These measures are related to drone activity: during the night from July 4 to July 5, Russian forces intercepted and destroyed 71 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the Belgorod, Rostov, and Bryansk regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea. Previously, a drone crash was also recorded at Sheremetyevo airport.
