Negri royal spat: Mubarak and fellow Undang go to court 05.05.2026

Datuk Seri Mubarak Dohak and three other Undang in Negri Sembilan have filed an originating summons at the Seremban High Court to challenge Mubarak’s recent removal as the Undang of Sungei Ujong. Alongside other traditional leaders, including the Undang of Jelebu, Johol, and Rembau, Mubarak is demanding that the Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU) secretary, Raja Norazli Raja Nordin, release minutes from an April 17 special session held at Istana Besar Seri Menanti. The plaintiffs seek a court declaration to obtain these documents within seven days and request a suspension of all decisions made during that session. Mubarak was removed following allegations of 33 customary law offenses, a move he and his fellow plaintiffs vehemently dispute while calling for new state leadership.
