Talka Sada, a father in his 50s from the Musahar community in Nepal's Saptari district, has embarked on a harrowing journey to find his only son, Vinod, who has been missing since catastrophic flash floods struck on August 26. The floods, which originated from the Bhotekoshi river, devastated northern Nepal, destroying homes and infrastructure. Vinod, 19, had been working as a laborer at a hydropower plant in the Rasuwa district, the worst-hit area, alongside four other young men who are also missing.
