New batches of eggs with quality violations detected in Armenia ahead of Easter - regulator 7h ago

Ahead of Easter celebrations in Armenia, the RA Food Safety Inspectorate has identified new batches of eggs with labeling and quality violations during market monitoring. While laboratory tests confirmed that all sampled eggs met freshness standards for Class I table eggs, discrepancies in quality classification were found. Specifically, eggs from manufacturers Araks, Gntunik, Koko, and Shirak exhibited labeling violations on various production dates in March. The Inspectorate has ordered the suspension of sales for these non-compliant batches and mandated corrections to labeling. Earlier inspections on March 31 at production sites also revealed non-compliance with HST 182-2012 standards for products from Arzni, EPF, Elite, and others, leading to orders for sales prohibition, recalls, and disposal.
