New Deputy Minister of Health Appointed 07.07.2026

By a new decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Rufat Jahangir oglu Hacialibeyov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health. Since July 2022, R. Hacialibeyov has been serving as the advisor to the Minister of Health on digitalization issues. With 30 years of extensive experience in the field of digital transformation, Hacialibeyov has previously headed the local branches of global information technology companies such as HP, Microsoft, and SAP. He has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Baku Engineering University since 2017. For his significant contributions to the development of information technologies in the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the "Taraggi" (Progress) medal by presidential decree in 2021. This appointment is of strategic importance for the digitalization and technological development of the healthcare sector.
