This innovation from the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology aims to address the common issue of delayed diagnosis for voice disorders by making early detection more accessible. The portable system captures high-resolution images and video of vocal cords, offering clinical-quality visuals at a lower cost than traditional laryngoscopy, thereby reducing cost and accessibility barriers and allowing for earlier intervention when voice problems are identified.
