The government's dispute over the criteria for Stea grants to social and health care organizations escalated on Friday when the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health sent a decree amendment for consultation. Minister Wille Rydman (ps) told Ilta-Sanomat that he does not know whose decision it was to send the decree and criticized the procedures. According to Rydman, confirmation is normally expected from all government parties or the presenting minister, but in this case, someone "pushed the button" without his knowledge.
