New catamaran channel crossing to be trialled between sussex and normandy 06.08.2026

British start-up SailLink is expanding its cross-Channel operations with a trial wind-powered catamaran service connecting Sussex and Normandy. The route between Shoreham-by-Sea and Fécamp will run from September 8 to 13, with three departures from the UK and two from France. Each journey takes approximately eight hours and can accommodate up to 12 passengers, with cyclists allowed to bring their bikes onboard.
