The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has provided official clarifications to Romania regarding the incident on June 5, 2026, when a maritime drone entered the Port of Constanța. According to a statement from the Romanian Ministry of National Defense (MAPN), the Ukrainian side confirmed that on the afternoon of June 4, approximately 250 km from the Romanian coast near Sevastopol, communications were lost with four Sargan-3000 naval drones heading toward the eastern Black Sea. From that moment on, Ukrainian forces lost control over their trajectories and were unable to re-establish communication, making it impossible to cancel the self-detonation command.
