Nigerian military arrests ISWAP’s teenage logistics courier linked to Jilli attacks 12.04.2026

Nigerian military troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have apprehended a 15-year-old suspected ISWAP logistics courier in Ngamdu, Borno State, on Sunday. The teenager was intercepted while attempting to purchase supplies for insurgents along the Ngamdu–Benisheik corridor and subsequently confessed to participating in recent attacks on Benisheik and Ngamdu. He revealed that fighters mobilized from Jilli in Gubio Local Government Area for these operations and that he was dispatched from Jilli with N850,000 to procure logistics. This arrest provides critical intelligence on ISWAP's operational and logistics network, reinforcing Jilli's status as a key staging ground, especially following recent OPHK airstrikes in the Jilli axis that targeted insurgent logistics.
