Nikita Shulchenko pads lead in Tour of Luzon after ruling Stage 7 05.05.2026

Russian cyclist Nikita Shulchenko, representing LCW UAECycle, strengthened his overall lead in the 2026 MPTC Tour of Luzon after winning the Stage 7 individual time trial on Tuesday. The 26-year-old completed the 22.9-kilometer course in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, in 30 minutes and six seconds, bringing his cumulative time to 19:31:20. His teammate, Yousef Ibrahiem Alrefai, finished second in the stage and remains second in the general classification, trailing by one minute and 38 seconds. Seoul Cycling Team’s Min Kyeong Ho secured third place in the stage. Meanwhile, Filipino rider Mervin Corpuz of 7Eleven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines Team holds third place overall. The competition continues with Stage 8, a 157.4-kilometer route from Pagudpud Town Hall to the St. Augustine Church of Paoay.
