Portal gegen Social-Media-VerbotAfD-Bezug verschwiegen: "Nius" trickst bei Anti-CDU-UmfrageVon Lars Wienand 20.02.2026

The right-populist portal "Nius" has been accused of manipulating a street survey regarding a potential social media ban for minors. While "Nius" criticizes public broadcasters ARD and ZDF for alleged bias, an investigation reveals that one of their interviewees, presented as a representative young Berliner, is actually an employee of AfD Bundestag member Beatrix von Storch. This individual's statements heavily influenced "Nius'" reporting against the CDU's proposal, aligning with the AfD's stance and appearing shortly before a CDU party congress where the ban was a key agenda item. Despite "Nius'" own criticisms of undisclosed political interests, they failed to disclose the AfD affiliation of their prominent interviewee, raising questions about the survey's neutrality and its role in a broader campaign against the proposed ban.
