During the 31st annual general meeting of the Narsingdi Diabetic Association held at the Narsingdi Shishu Academy auditorium, Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain issued a stern warning regarding administrative integrity. The minister declared that officials found guilty of corruption or negligence within the health sector will face immediate dismissal rather than routine transfers. Emphasizing that bribery and dishonesty will not be tolerated, Husain stressed the necessity for all personnel to perform their duties with absolute honesty. Furthermore, the minister announced significant healthcare reforms, including plans to establish 50-bed dialysis centres at every medical college hospital nationwide. The government also intends to renovate union-level community clinics, recruit more healthcare workers, and upgrade family planning centres. These initiatives aim to initiate a major transformation within the national health sector to ensure improved services for all citizens.
