Nord. Homme condamné pour les viols de sa chienne Jack Russel : les dessous d'une affaire hors-normes 20.02.2026

A 60-year-old man from the Lille metropolitan area in Nord, France, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the repeated sexual assault of his disabled son and his Jack Russell terrier, Sultane. The abuse of the dog, which began in 2017, was discovered in 2023 when the son filmed the perpetrator sodomizing the animal. This discovery also brought to light the long-term sexual abuse of the son. The man, who had no prior criminal record and showed no signs of impaired judgment despite alcohol addiction, was tried at the criminal court in Douai. The Ligue protectrice des animaux (LPA) represented Sultane, who has since been rescued, treated for health issues, and placed with a loving family, though she exhibits behavioral sequelae, including a fear of men. The sentence combines penalties for the abuse of both victims, and the man is also subject to mandatory treatment and a lifetime ban on owning animals.
