Not just LPG, petrol, diesel: MP hikes milk prices 01.04.2026

Milk prices have risen by Rs 2 to Rs 4 per litre in several Madhya Pradesh cities, including Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Jabalpur, effective April 1. This increase is attributed to summer fodder shortages and escalating animal feed costs, compounded by recent hikes in premium fuel and commercial LPG prices. Loose milk, a common commodity in urban and semi-urban households, has seen prices increase, with loose milk in Indore now costing Rs 63 per litre, up from Rs 60. Despite these price adjustments, the government has assured the public of stable fuel supplies nationwide, with refineries operating at high capacity and increased LPG production.
