Nothing remains of FC Tatran Prešov after an unsuccessful season. It is still for sale 07.07.2026

The first attempt by the city of Prešov to sell a majority stake in the joint-stock company FC Tatran Prešov ended unsuccessfully, as no bidder applied for the public tender. Following the unsuccessful attempt on June 8, the city announced a new tender with a deadline of July 20, where the minimum price is set at one million euros. The goal is to find an investor to provide a financial boost to consolidate the club's liabilities, which amount to 1.5 million euros. As part of organizational changes, Mayor František Oľha became the new chairman of the board, while Vlastislav Laskovský resigned from his post. A total of 109 shares are offered for sale, representing approximately 95% of the stake, while the city will retain 5.22% of the shares and protective rights to the brand. The new investor must agree to a shareholders' agreement and a call option for the city.
