"On n'a pas le cœur à la fête" : en Ariège, les producteurs annulent leur venue au Salon de l'agriculture pour soutenir les éleveurs 22.02.2026

In Ariège, France, 22 agricultural ambassadors have unanimously decided to withdraw from the upcoming Salon de l'agriculture in Paris, scheduled from February 21 to March 1. This unprecedented decision stems from the severe impact of bovine nodular dermatosis and avian flu on local farmers, creating a somber atmosphere that makes participation in a celebratory event inappropriate. The cancellation is a direct message to the government regarding its handling of the agricultural crisis, particularly the controversial culling of herds affected by nodular dermatosis, which led to clashes between farmers and law enforcement in December. Despite the significant financial losses anticipated from missing the event, which represents a substantial portion of their annual revenue, the producers prioritize solidarity and a public denouncement of the current agricultural conditions.
