One killed and dozens injured in Iranian drone strikes on Kuwait airport 03.06.2026

One person was killed and over 60 injured in Iranian drone strikes on Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, an attack described by Kuwait's defense ministry as "criminal Iranian aggression" that also damaged diplomatic missions. Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) denied responsibility, attributing the damage to a US missile interceptor error, a claim refuted by US Central Command (Centcom), which stated Iran launched a "deliberate, calculated and unjustified attack." The IRGC had earlier claimed to target US bases in the Gulf in retaliation for US strikes on an Iranian oil tanker and Qeshm Island. The US reported intercepting Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait and Bahrain, and also claimed to have disabled an oil tanker bound for Iran. This escalation occurs amid stalled US-Iran ceasefire negotiations, with recent reports of US President Donald Trump requesting edits to a potential peace deal concerning the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's nuclear program, a claim Iran has denied. The deceased was identified as an Indian citizen, with other Indian nationals also reported injured.
