One of nine Alan Jones accusers withdraws from indecent assault case 23h ago

Prosecutors have dismissed one of the 27 charges against former broadcaster Alan Jones, specifically a count of indecent assault relating to an allegation by a complainant known as "Complainant K." The charge, which involved the alleged indecent touching of the accuser more than a decade ago between October and November 2013 at Tamworth, was confirmed by Judge Greg Grogin to be withdrawn and dismissed. This leaves 24 remaining charges of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching against the 84-year-old, who has pleaded not guilty to all allegations. The investigations stem from a strike force formed after a report by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, with alleged offenses occurring over two decades across various locations. Jones maintains his innocence, and his local court hearing is scheduled for August 2026.
