Opposition Won’t Scare Me, I Won’t Run From Nigeria’s Challenges – Tinubu 16.04.2026

President Bola Tinubu declared on Thursday at the State House, Abuja, that he is undeterred by opposition, whom he characterized as "noise-makers" disregarding the rule of law. Speaking to leaders and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Tinubu asserted that his past electoral struggles have fortified him for current national challenges. He pledged not to abandon Nigeria's affairs, emphasizing his commitment to breaking poverty and ignorance, and fostering democracy. The President criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's role in past privatization exercises, questioning the effectiveness of privatizing entities like the Delta steel industry and Ajaokuta. Tinubu urged APC unity and reaffirmed his dedication to national transformation and fulfilling campaign promises, while also noting the mobilization of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for the 2027 elections.
