« Opposition à toute forme d’annexion » : plus de 80 États dont la France dénoncent à l’ONU la volonté d’Israël de « s’étendre » en Cisjordanieà 04h35 18.02.2026

Eighty-five United Nations member states, including France, China, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, along with the European Union and the Arab League, have jointly condemned Israel's recent measures to accelerate land registration in the occupied West Bank. These nations expressed strong opposition to any form of annexation and warned that Israel's actions, which facilitate settler land purchases and aim to expand its "illegal presence," could alter the demographic composition of the Palestinian territory. The statement, delivered at the UN in New York, called for the immediate annulment of these unilateral decisions, deeming them contrary to international law and detrimental to peace efforts and the prospects of a two-state solution. This intensified colonization, particularly under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government since October 7, 2023, has seen over 500,000 Israeli settlers establish themselves in the West Bank, a territory occupied by Israel since 1967.
