Authorities conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, resulting in the seizure of approximately one kilogram of suspected shabu valued at P6.8 million. During the operation, one suspect, identified only as alias "John," was arrested and later found to be a minor. He was subsequently turned over to the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) for appropriate intervention. Another individual, alias "Namli," managed to evade arrest and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165). The PDEA-BARMM is coordinating with MSSD to ensure all legal and child protection protocols are followed.
