Why $370bn tech group Palantir pays 1.4 percent tax rate: Report 06.08.2026

A report by the Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research (CICTAR) has found that Palantir Technologies paid a global effective tax rate of only 1.4% in 2025, despite reporting $1.66 billion in pretax profits. The company paid zero US federal corporate income tax for the third consecutive year and only $2.5 million in state income taxes. CICTAR alleges that Palantir engineers its corporate structure to shift profits from the UK and Europe to its US parent company, where accumulated losses and tax breaks, including benefits from the 2017 Trump tax cuts, allow it to avoid federal taxes.
