Parliament May Decide on New Climate Law in November 03.07.2026

The Ministry Responsible for the Living Environment has announced that it considers the parliamentary approval of the new climate law to be realistic by the end of November. The creation of the law was necessitated by a decision from the Constitutional Court last summer, which annulled a passage of the previous climate law and set a deadline of June 30 for the creation of new legislation. According to the ministry, the previous government had sufficient time to complete the task, but the prepared draft only minimally met the Constitutional Court's requirements and was never placed on the agenda.
