Party continues recount efforts 08.06.2026

Arman Abovyan, a parliamentary candidate for the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), announced on June 8, 2026, that 120 votes were reinstated for his party after comparing results from four polling stations. Abovyan expressed concern over the fluctuating vote totals on the Central Electoral Commission’s website, emphasizing discrepancies in absolute numbers rather than percentages. The BHK initiated recount requests after preliminary figures showed them narrowly missing the 4% electoral threshold. Abovyan stated that the party is investigating the reasons for these discrepancies, suggesting potential political motivations due to the significant impact on parliamentary representation if BHK fails to qualify. He asserted that the party's primary focus is to secure every vote cast by their supporters, despite alleged pressure during the campaign. Preliminary results from the June 7 elections showed BHK with 3.996% of the vote.
