On December 13, 2023, passengers aboard Air Canada Flight 1502 at Toronto Pearson Airport were left bewildered and alarmed when screams and banging sounds emanated from the cargo hold of the Airbus aircraft as it taxied for departure to Moncton, New Brunswick. The distressing noises prompted an investigation by flight attendants, who discovered a ground crew member had become trapped inside the cargo hold due to inadvertently closed doors. The flight, carrying 184 passengers, was halted before reaching the runway, and the crew member eventually emerged unharmed. The aircraft returned to the terminal, and the flight was subsequently canceled after delays, with no injuries reported.
