"Patriotism has given way to messianism": Fatou Kiné Diakhaté settles accounts with PASTEF 07.07.2026

In a post titled "Appeal to patriotic brothers and sisters," Fatou Kiné Diakhaté, Deputy Chief of Staff, publicly announces her intention to join the future presidential party, which she presents as the continuation of her commitment exclusively focused on Senegal. She justifies her decision by citing Frantz Fanon on "deserted responsibilities," asserting that this is not a break from her ideals but a loyalty to values such as national sovereignty, transparency, and the general interest. The former MONCAP coordinator believes that the current PASTEF no longer corresponds to the one she once knew, citing a departure from its founding values. She concludes that patriotism has given way to messianism within the party. She calls upon those who no longer recognize themselves in today's PASTEF to become founding members of the new structure, inviting them to contact her directly.
