Paul Pelosi Yountville collision: What charges could he face after the alleged hit-and-run incident? 13h ago

Paul Pelosi, the 86-year-old husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is under investigation by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office following a collision in Yountville, California, on July 3. According to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, Pelosi’s brown convertible struck a legally parked, unoccupied vehicle on Yount Street before driving away. Investigators noted that Pelosi admitted to knowing he hit something but continued driving because he was unsure of what it was, eventually stopping only when his vehicle became disabled. While alcohol does not appear to be a factor and no injuries were reported, Pelosi could face misdemeanor hit-and-run charges involving property damage. Additionally, the DMV may require a recertification process to evaluate his driving ability. A spokesperson for the Pelosi family stated that he has apologized to the owner and intends to pay for the damages.
