PDI recovers eight bodies of dogs stolen from a pet crematorium in Lampa 05.07.2026

The Investigative Police (PDI), through the Lampa Bicrim, has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation following a theft at the INERS pet crematorium, located in the commune of Lampa. Criminals stole approximately ten animal bodies that were awaiting cremation, an act that caused profound distress among owners. Following various investigative steps, detectives located eight of the stolen bodies in the La Vilana sector. Following instructions from the duty prosecutor, the remains were returned to the crematorium to complete the farewell process. Although hypotheses have been proposed—including rituals, sale for academic purposes, or commercial sabotage—authorities have not yet confirmed the motive for the crime. The investigation remains open to identify those responsible for this unusual theft that has shocked the local community.
