Pezeshkian, in talks with world leaders, vows Iran 'will not bow to any bully' 03.07.2026

President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran met with leaders from Tajikistan, Iraq, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, and Turkey in Tehran on Thursday during the funeral of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was martyred on February 28 in U.S.-Israeli strikes. Addressing delegates from nearly 100 nations, Pezeshkian thanked allies for their solidarity and vowed Iran would not yield to foreign pressure or aggression, stating the attacks had only increased national unity. He condemned the strikes as illegal and violations of international law, which resulted in the martyrdom of the Leader, officials, scientists, schoolchildren, and damaged civilian infrastructure. Foreign leaders expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with Iran, emphasizing shared cultural ties and the importance of regional cooperation for security, while some, like Armenia's Prime Minister Pashinyan, assured Iran that they would not participate in any actions against its interests.
