A serious traffic accident occurred yesterday around 3:45 PM on state road DC2 between Donji Meljani and Bistrica, near Slatina. Two passenger vehicles and one freight vehicle were involved in the collision, leaving five people seriously injured, including two children. According to the police report, the accident was caused by a 53-year-old driver of a passenger car with Našice registration plates, who, while driving from Donji Meljani toward Bistrica, crossed into the opposite lane and struck a freight vehicle with Zagreb registration plates driven by a 60-year-old driver.
